Captain Steven Casey started his career in the fire service in 2006 in the metro Atlanta area.  He joined the West Jackson Fire Department in 2022 as an FAO.  He was promoted to Captain in January 2023 and currently serves on B-shift on Truck 31.  Capt. Casey holds numerous certifications including; Fire Officer 2, Fire Instructor 2, Live Fire Instructor, Rope Rescue Technician, Confine Space Technician, Swift Water Technician, an Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Instructor and Paramedic. He also serves as the gear and equipment officer for the department, ordering and maintaining all vital equipment to keep the units and crews in service.  Capt. Casey is also a member of the departments TEMS team

He is married to his beloved wife, Kellie, and has two amazing boys.  He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and playing golf.
